Marrow & Myth

Every woman I know is standing at a threshold.
Tired of performing. Longing for truth.
Craving something deeper than content—something wilder than “self-care.”
Marrow & Myth was born at that edge.

I created this because I’ve lived at both extremes—
the light-filled spiritual spaces that bypassed the shadow,
and the grind that glorified disconnection and burnout.

I’ve unknowingly malnourished myself in the name of devotion—
fasting with master plants while bypassing the true needs of my body and bones.
I believed self-denial was sacred.
That holiness demanded intensity.
That discomfort alone meant I was evolving.

I’ve masked my opinions, afraid they were too much—too sharp, too real, too inconvenient.
Only to discover: truth-telling is a dire need in these distorted times.

I’ve bypassed my sacred bitch to make others comfortable.
Twisted myself into pleasing forms.
Played the “good girl,” virtue-signaling my worth—
until I mothered myself into the kind of woman
who’s willing to displease when necessary,
who will have the hard conversations,
knowing that avoidance is the greatest trap.

I’ve compared myself to other women,
wrapped in the illusion of competition.
Only to remember:
my power lives in sisterhood—
in the quiet, steady power of holding one another.

And on vision quest, I didn’t find answers on a mountaintop.
I found them in the soft, steady wisdom of moss—
in the humility of sitting still long enough
to become the forest floor itself.

This offering was born from those thresholds.
From realizing: I am you, and you are me.

And it was also born from our times—
times of distraction, glowing screens, and filtered truths.
From the ache of disconnection—between people, bodies, and the Earth.
And from the sorrow of watching the Earth be stripped bare,
her wild voice muted, her sacred fires burning out of balance.

We’re being called back.
Back to the soil.
Back to our wombs.
Back to what’s real.

The Earth is asking.
Our bodies are asking.
Generations yet to be are asking.

To remember how to listen.
To reclaim the intelligence of our cycles.
To tend to the bones of our humanity.
To re-learn how to live in relationship with the feminine—
within us, around us, and beneath our feet.

Because this isn’t just a return to ourselves—
it’s a remembering of how to be human—
within the wider web of Earth and kin.

So I ask you, gently and honestly:
What remains?
Let’s kneel to that.
Let’s remember together.
